Outgrowing Friends

We never really forget the people that we meet, especially those that have left impressions on us. As we grow up, our circle of friends change but really, we haven't lost any friends. It's just that as we grow up, we sometimes outgrow our friends. And as we grow up, we learn more about who our real friends are.

To Be

You can't make someone love you; all you can do is to be someone who can be loved. The rest is up to the person to realize your worth.

Thick n Creamy Chocolate Mousse

Ingredients

210 gm chocolate (Dark, milk or white chocolate is fine. It all depends on the type of chocolate mousse you want.)

60 gm jivar chocolate (Lindt or anything special, good quality chocolate is good.)

60 gm butter

315 ml cream (use pure cream for best results)

2 heaped tablespoons sugar

3 egg whites

5 egg yolks

Directions

Place chocolate and butter in a bowl.

In a saucepan or pot, warm cream and sugar until sugar dissolves. When cream starts to bubble and grow in pot, you can turn it off.

Add warm cream to chocolate and butter and mix until chocolate and butter are completely melted. Once chocolate and butter are melted, leave mixture to cool.

Whisk egg whites till soft, white and fluffy. To check, if you flip the bowl that you're using around, the egg whites should remain in the bowl and not fall out.

Whisk egg yolks till pale and creamy. To check, when you spoon out mixture and pour back into the bowl, it should look like a ribbon flowing back into the bowl.

Add the fluffy egg white mixture and egg yolk mixture into the chocolate. Make sure chocolate has cooled first. Otherwise, the eggs will cook in the hot chocolate.

Whisk all the ingredients until they are nicely combined and of the same consistency throughout.

Place chocolate mixture in a bowl and leave it in the freezer for 2-3 hours with a cling wrap over the surface of the chocolate.

Before serving, allow mousse to thaw a little especially if it is frozen. Mousse should have a light, creamy and slightly thick texture.

By the way, if you're hoping to make a light and fluffy chocolate mousse, skip this recipe. This one is thick, creamy and chocolatey AND great!

The Present

Learning to accept that the best things in life happen today despite the down moments that we go through, for everything happens for a reason. Reasons we may or may not yet understand but will in the future eventually understand.

Indian-Chinese Night Out

So I've been in Perth about 2 years, 2 weeks and 2 days and the first time I went to Cottlesloe Beach was yesterday night. Took zero pictures of the beach, walked on no sand, walked in no waves, built no sandcastle, soaked in no sun but had a fabulous time.

The night before, after May and I invited Yohaan to KFC, he said he was bored and really wanted to go to the beach there and then. My first thoughts were like No!!! Then I said OK! Let's go tomorrow! And that was it. We went to the beach after choir. Bought a Maccas dinner box to bring along cos none of us had had dinner.

Apart from eating, you can see we pretty much cam-whored the rest of the time. After a lil bit, we decided to edit the PhotoBooth settings and PhotoBooth stopped working. May was flabbergasted. She kept saying how important it was for PhotoBooth to work. She made me restart my computer and when PhotoBooth worked, she was hell excited.

When two fair Chinese take pictures with two Indians, it is important to ensure that the flash is focused on the darker people. We started our photo sesh with me in front and cos I'm so fair, the flash made me look so white, the Indians behind me disappeared into the darkness. The Indians complained that my Mac's racist. But look hey... My MacBook is White! They don't come in other colors.

PhotoBooth quit unexpectedly, indicating that we should go home. But not before we procrastinated and made Yohaan climb a tree and the roof of the little hut we sat under, and drove to the city to pick my sister up from the club.

These Indian people are my first real Indian friends that I actually call and go out with, go to their house, go crazy with etc etc.. Love them!

Bumble Bee

Bumblebee is a small, yellow Autobot with the altmode of a compact car from the movie Transformers.

Sam Witwicky buys the Autobot scout Bumblebee (disguised as a 1976 Camaro on Earth) as his first car. Sam soon finds that his car is a robot in disguise. He obviously panics and tries to flee from his car because he thinks his car is stalking him. But because this is a movie, Bumblebee of course becomes Sam's aid in the various crises that he goes through and they become best friends, inseparable.

Thank you for being my Bumble Bee, my angel in disguise... Though I do at times think you're stalking me, I know you're just keeping up with what's been happening with me and thus being there for me when I need you. Most importantly, being a best friend to me in so many ways. All that's missing in my life is my Megan Fox.

Thank you for always being there when I need you. Just one thing, can you appear online more often so I can talk to you as and when I want to? Right now, it's a little bit hard cos I have to wait for you to message me.

May I be like Bumblebee to you too! Then we can either be Bee 1 (you cos you're older) and Bee 2 (me cos I'm younger) or Bumble (you) and Bee (me)!
