With all that's been happening in this world, the natural disasters, the loss of lives of both old and young, one cannot help but wonder if the world is going to come to end. Then I see people fighting for freedom, the political unrests in the Middle East, the Iraq war and I wonder what this world is coming to.
But then,
I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom for me and you.
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world
I see skies of blue, clouds of white
The bright blessed days, the dark sacred nights
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world
The colors of the rainbow, so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of the people going by
I see friends shaking hands, saying how do you do
They're really saying I love you
I hear babies cry, I watch them grow
They'll learn much more than I'll ever know
And I think to myself what a wonderful world
I live in.
